Day Out to Salisbury

Living in Southampton for university means I am not far from many places that offer entertainment for the day.

Salisbury was the place I visited today as it was only 20 minutes on the train. I had a walk around the city and its surrounding towns and stumbled upon some spectacular views.

Exploring Guildford

As part of my university course, I am required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of work experience during my three years at Solent. Luckily, my uncle was able to set me a photography task from his company that would count towards my work experience profile.

The task involved me walking around Guildford for the day and photographing well renowned areas of the city, such as the cathedral, sports park, high street, as well as general day to day areas such as the train station, park benches and rows of houses.

Below are my favourite photographs captured using my Nikon D3300.

Trevaskis Farm

Every two years my family and I take a holiday down to Cornwall for a week during Easter. It is my top choice place to visit and the scenery never ceases to amaze me.

Trevaskis Farm is a beloved part of our bi-anual trips down to Cornwall. I have so many wonderful memories from this place and the site captures my attention every time, whether that be from the food served, the produce sold in their farm shop or the animals you can walk around and say hello to.

Tintagel Castle

Every two years my family and I take a holiday down to Cornwall for a week during Easter. It is my top choice to visit and the scenery never ceases to amaze me.

We had not explored the ruins of Tintagel Castle despite our many visits to Cornwall so this year we decided we would spend the day wandering around the historical site. Tintagel Castle is famous for being home to the legend of King Arthur.

A Railway Trip

During my first year at university, one of my modules was to film and edit together a short (no longer than 10 minute) video about the Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line with two other students. Before our scheduled day of filming we had to attend an orientation at the site a couple of weeks in advance so we could get our bearings and start planning our ideas. During our orientation day I took a couple of photos of the railway site from up on the bridge.

These photos were taken on my iPhone 5s.
