Basingstoke Canal

My friends and I took a casual stroll up and down the Basingstoke Canal on Tuesday. I had taken my Nikon D3300 (which the following photos were captured on) whilst two of my friends had taken their Nikon J1 SLR and a film Ricoh AF-5.

Rievaulx Abbey

During my time in the North East of England I also visited Rievaulx Abbey, the first Cistercian abbey to be founded in the North of the country in 1132. It soon became on of the most spiritually renowned centres of monasticism in Britain. These are my favourite photographs from my walk around the ruins.

It truly is a spectacular place that I highly recommend people visit.

My friends and I went shopping in Reading today and we stumbled across this cute little coffee shop that had plants on every table and a magazine/book swap at the back.

On the train home I was experimenting with different camera angles and reflections from the train window and this was my favourite. I like the contrast between the light of outside and the darkness inside the train as well as the strength of the clarity of the reflection.
